Aperol Spritz

Brief

In 2021 we were briefed to design Aperol Spritz a sustainable Christmas Jumper that leapt off the page and sparked conversation, joy and excitement whilst giving Aperol a stronger share of voice during the winter months.

They also needed to set up a new online platform to sell their new jumpers and to create bespoke swing tags to further promote the campaign.

Design

We honed in on Aperol Spritz’s Italian roots and 1919 origins weaving nods to their Venetian heritage whilst subtly heroing their ingredients. 

Using visual cues like art deco style ice cubes, Venetian fans in the style of orange slices, geometric patterns inspired by vintage Italian architecture and Aperol’s signature bottle as decorative hangings, we created a chic knit that was formed using recycled yarns.

Result

Our unique design saw Aperol Spritz’s sustainable Christmas jumper covered in top tier media titles such as Marie Claire, the Metro, Evening Standard, Tyla and many more. 

We helped Aperol create an Etsy page to sell their jumpers to customers, who were rewarded with a free drink via a unique swing tag attached to every knit, driving footfall to their key on-trade locations.

Such was the success of the campaign, the brand went further asking us to fulfil and deliver to all of their markets globally, seeing over 1500 jumpers delivered across the world for staff gifting and B2C campaigns.
